Mandarin Stone supports Monmouth Young Rugby

Monmouth Young Rugby are thrilled to announce that Mandarin Stone are continuing their support for the 20/21 season by sponsoring their full range of leisurewear. Even in such uncertain times, where Covid-19 has interrupted both training and games for young players in the area, Mandarin Stone have enthusiastically continued to support Monmouth Young Rugby.

This is not the first-time support has been provided, last season the company, whose headquarters are based in Monmouth, sponsored the purchase of a Rhino scrum machine. Prior to training restrictions, the scrum machine was an invaluable piece of equipment ensuring players could train safely. Both players and coaches are looking forward to utilising it once again in the future when restrictions are lifted.

“We are excited that Mandarin Stone has chosen to be our main leisurewear sponsor, especially after financially supporting the purchase of our new Rhino scrum machine earlier in the year,” said Stuart Paterson, Monmouth Young Rugby Chairman. “Having a family business like Mandarin Stone supporting us during the pandemic illustrates their core values and ambition to support sport in the area.”

Stuart continued,

“The new scrum machine will help players train safely which is such boost for all the coaches and players at Monmouth Young Rugby. We are one of the very few teams in Wales which has their own junior scrum device, and that is all down to the generosity of Alma and her team at Mandarin Stone.”

On Thursday 12th November, Monmouth Young Rugby presented Alma Small, Managing Director of Mandarin Stone with a personalised Monmouth Young Rugby framed jersey as a thank you for their continued support.
